Community Foundation of Acadiana (CFA) has activated and is accepting contributions to its Acadiana Disaster Response Fund to help those affected by the severe weather that occurred on Wednesday, Dec. 14.

This fund provides immediate relief and long-term recovery resources to those in the affected areas. Contributions can be made at www.cfacadiana.org/aderf.

CFA will work closely with state and local agencies, nonprofit organizations, and churches as necessary to benefit those affected. Contributions are tax-deductible and, thanks to CFA Members, 100 percent of all contributions, less standard credit card fees, will benefit our neighbors.

Generous donors can also recommend grant distributions from their Donor Advised Funds at CFA.

“CFA has played a prominent role in disaster and emergency response through our Acadiana Disaster& Emergency Response Fund,” said Missy Andrade, President & CEO. “For more than 21 years, generous donors from throughout our region and country have entrusted CFA with their donations to benefit those most affected by natural disasters.”

Over the past 20 years, CFA has granted over $50 million in Disaster Response distributions.
