The Iberia Parish School Board will vote to award a bid for flooring work at various schools during Wednesday’s meeting.

The IPSB is recommending the board to accept the bid of Bulliard Construction of $310,000 for epoxy flooring mainly in the restrooms at Pesson Elementary, Center Street Elementary, North Lewis Elementary, Loreauville High School’s new gym, the Iberia Parish Career Center, Daspit Elementary, Delcambre Elementary and Park Elementary.

It also includes carpet to tile conversion to the SPED meeting room and Jeanerette Senior High Library.

The base budget for the project was $160,000, and the difference in budget to bid will be covered by savings from other ESSER construction projects.

The board will also consider a legal request following a new policy at the Iberia Clerk of Court’s Office to require a fee of $110 for recording oaths of office.

The request concerns whether the board can pay for the expense.

The meeting takes place at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the board’s administrative office on Jane Street.
