As the season winds down, it’s crunch time for NISH soccer and Catholic High basketball.

On Wednesday night, NISH battled cross-town rival Westgate for Senior Night. The Yellow Jackets defeated the Tigers 8-0 after just 40 minutes of action. NISH will face off against Acadiana High on Thursday for their final regular season matchup before the playoffs. The Yellow Jackets are currently in the No. 30 spot, just two places ahead of the Division I cutoff.

Catholic High picked up a three-game sweep of Loreauville on Wednesday, with victories in the JV, girls and boys games. Catholic High remains on top in district play with a 5-1 record. The Panthers will look to pick up another big district win on Friday when they host Delcambre.
