The Acadiana Regional Airport is quite the stop for impressive aircraft.

On Friday, residents of the region noticed a team of F-18’s flying in the sky and pretty low.

The reason was, they had to get fuel and made a stop at the Acadiana Regional Airport.

The airport posted on Facebook, “A few thirsty F-18s stopped in today.”

The airport was also a famous stop for the designated Air Force One in April of 2021.

On that Sunday in April, the Boeing 757 stopped for fuel. It was a plane used by the government and designated as Air Force One when the president of the United States is onboard.

Acadiana Regional Airport (KARA) is a fully certificated General Aviation Airport under FAA 14 CFR Part 139, is located in Iberia Parish and is managed under direction of the Iberia Parish Airport Authority.
