The Cottrell Chapel C.M.E church is celebrating it’s 137 Church anniversary Sunday Oct. 22, 2023 at 3 p.m. featuring guest speaker Rev. Trent Davis of Jeanerette.

According to sister Mary Mitchell, Chairman of the Church anniversary, the church has celebrated its anniversary every year since it was built. It acts as both a fundraising event and a community-building event.

The church asks all members to donate $137 to match the anniversary year in dollars, which they repeat every year.

Food and drinks will be provided.
