The Greater Iberian Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for the D.S.F. Tag Agency.

D.S.F. Tag Agency opened at the beginning of 2023 and is one of New Iberia’s three vehicle registration businesses. Currently, the agency provides license plates, vehicle registrations, title and notary assistance.

Seth Fitch, Co-head of D.S.F. Tag Agency said he came from nothing. He grew up on a sugarcane farm, and after high school he joined the army. During those eight years, he served a tour in Iraq.

When he returned, he attended South Louisiana Community College (SLCC) where he earned his business degree.

Fitch delivered a speech during the event where he described the origins of the business. The idea for a tag agency came from a table conversation between Savannah Delucia and Fitch, where they were trying to find ways to work with the established agency, and came up with the idea for D.S.F Tag Agency.

Fitch said it was thanks to people like his supervisor that helped him figure out the right track.

“I have an awesome supervisor, Ms. Franzel, that I call upon daily. It’s a learning curve and I started from nothing,” Fitch said.

He also thanked the staff of the Greater Iberia Chamber of Commerce, former president and CEO Thomas Falgout and Assistant Director Kelly Roark for their assistance with establishing the agency. The journey really started with the chamber’s Leadership Iberia program, where Fitch met many people.

“When I started over here, and I had a little somebody in my ear pushing for sorta starting to go to leadership and I met Ms. Kelly and former president, Mr. Thomas, they have surely been a role model just through this whole process, and it was always a smile from both of them every time you walked in,” Fitch concluded.
