Deputies said a report of a deceased male has turned into a homicide investigation.

The Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office has confirmed the investigation into a man who was found deceased with gunshot wounds is now being treated as a homicide.

Deputies said they responded to the 4700 block of Jasper Road in Iberia Parish for a call of a deceased male.

Deputies said the deceased male was 36 and had gunshot wounds.

Today, the sheriff’s office said the case is being investigated as a homicide.
