After a one-day postponement due to weather conditions, the Loreauville Community Project’s Christmas in the Village took place Sunday in downtown Loreauville.

Music, food, vendors and, of course, Santa Claus were all present to put the village of Loreauville in the holiday spirit as the Christmas season goes into full effect in the Teche Area.

The Loreauville High School Band played a number of Christmas-specific holiday music near Loreauville Town Hall and right next to the large Christmas tree placed downtown to commemorate the holiday season.

The band was put on display as one of Loreauville’s major sources of pride this year following their trip to Washington D.C. to play in the Independence Parade.

Children attending the community event were able to enjoy fun jumps and other activities that were placed in between Loreauville Town Hall and St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
