NIPD

A juvenile killed with multiple gunshot wounds was found by the New Iberia Police Department Tuesday night. 

According to a prepared statement, NIPD officers responded to the area of Zez and Yvonne streets in reference to a shots fired call at approximately 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. 

Upon arrival officers, officers located the juvenile with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim died as a result of his injuries. 

The investigation is still ongoing. Additional details will be released when available.
