1. Cedric Watson Live at the Pie Bar Friday Jan. 5 from 4 to 7 p.m.

Join Four-time Grammy nominated singer/songwriter Cedric Watson at the Cane River Pecan Company Pie Bar. Watson plans to play traditional Creole and old-school Zydeco.

He will also play some of his originals like Pan Janvier and LA Vieille Chanson De Mardi Gras. Happy hour will last from 3:15 to 5 p.m.

2. Glass Snowman crafts for ages 13-15 Saturday, Jan. 6 from 11 a.m. to noon at St. Peter’s Branch Library.

Join the librarians at the St. Peter Branch Library to make a custom-decorated snowman out of a simple piece of glass. This aims to get teenagers excited about the winter season, and look forward to an unlikely snowfall.

3. Custom 2024 Mini-calendars for ages 18+ at the Jeanerette Branch Library Tuesday, Jan. 9 from 10:30 a.m. to Noon.

Join the librarians at the Jeanerette Library to build your very own personalized 2024 calendar. In order to participate, attendees must bring their own 4×6 photos.

4. Lego Challenge Club for ages 7-11 at the Coteau Branch Library Thursday, Jan. 11 from 4 to 5 p.m.

Join other “master builders” to take part in the kids Lego challenge club. This month, the theme is the home challenge. Kids will randomly choose from a set of cards to determine their room. Next, they must design that specific room however they want. At the end of the event, they will combine the different builds into a single display case and assemble it into a single house.
