Lucille Marie Pellerin Bernard, 90, a native of Broussard, resident of New Iberia, died on December 4, 2023, in Morgantown, West Virginia.
She was born on September 11, 1933. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at St. Edward’s Catholic Church in New Iberia. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m.
Lucille is survived by her daughters Derbie Bernard of Morgantown, West Virginia, Cheryl Wilson (Fred) of Phenix City, Alabama, Laura Bernard of New Iberia, Erica Polk (Palfrey) of Houma; grandchildren Danielle Walker, Gregory Williams III, Elaya Gardner (Stanley), Palfrey Polk III, Theophilus Wilson; great-grandchildren Devin Walker, Mc’Kinzye Harrison, My’Kah Harrison, Ma’Lania Harrison, Chloe Williams; sisters Laura Jacquet of San Diego, California and Mary Alma Moulden of Broussard; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents George Sr. and Virginia Pellerin; parents Robert Sr. and Caroline Pellerin; siblings Robert Pellerin Jr., Helen Melancon; former husband Louis Bernard; and great-grandson Demetry Walker.
