A Mass of Christian burial will be held for Mrs. Frances “Meme” Bertucci Adams, 86, at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 15, 2024, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Fr. Randy Courville officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday, January 15, 2024. A Rosary will be prayed at 11 a.m. on Monday in the funeral home led by the Men’s Rosary Group.

Mrs. Frances Adams, a devoted homemaker, passed away peacefully at the age of 86 on January 10, 2024. Born on May 22, 1937, she dedicated her life to creating a warm and loving home for her family. Frances found immense joy in simple pleasures and one of her greatest delights was spending time at the camp with her loved ones. Her selflessness was evident in every aspect of her life, as she consistently put the needs of her family before her own.

A pillar of strength and unwavering support, Frances played a central role in shaping the lives of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She embraced the responsibilities of parenthood with grace and dedication, imparting valuable lessons of love, resilience and kindness to each generation. Her legacy is not only one of familial bonds but also of the enduring impact of a life lived with generosity and compassion. Frances Adams will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing her, leaving behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire and uplift her family for generations to come.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years Gerald “Jerry” Adams Sr.; children Kevin Adams and wife Keri of New Iberia, Sharon Adams Freyou and husband Kerry of New Iberia; grandchildren Gerald “T.J.” Adams III of New Iberia, Kyle Adams of New Iberia, Kody Freyou and wife Chelise of Maurice, Kelcie Freyou Miller and husband Corey of Lake Charles; great-grandchildren Alexie M. Adams, Lilly G. Adams, Triston Deane, Adelyn Freyou, Addisyn Miller, Beckham Miller; sister Brenda McLenaghan of Orlando, Florida; and brother Dale Bertucci of Chicago, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her son Gerald T. Adams Jr.; parents Salvador Bertucci Sr. and Sophie Standridge Bertucci; brother Salvador Bertucci Jr.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Kevin Adams, Kerry Freyou, Kody Freyou, Gerald “T.J.” Adams III, Kyle Adams, Aiken French, Donnie Hensgens and Corey Miller. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Adams and Triston Deane.

The family would like to thank Laura, Lauren and Marcie with Hospice of Acadiana and Dr. Falterman for all their care and compassion.
