The food truck allowed them to provide for their community while also giving them a place all their own. They have enjoyed their career and everything that comes with it. But for Bienvenu, there is more to her.

They recently spoke with The Daily Iberian on her early life, a few of her favorites, and so much more.

You grew up in St. Martinville. I can imagine that was fun. Do you have a favorite memory?

My greatest memory growing up here is my grandmother’s house. It was where we all visited every Saturday for her spaghetti, even our friends would come to eat. It was all about family.

What would you say is your favorite season of the year?

Summer is my favorite season. And crawfish season.

Do you have a pet peeve of yours? What would you say is something that can really get to you?

My pet peeve is waiting on someone that is late.

You seem to have a lot of skills, but what do you think is something people should learn how to do?

Everyone should possess the skill of cooking. It’s not only a necessity for survival but who doesn’t love to eat.

If money wasn’t an option, what would you do?

If money wasn’t an option I would travel for a living.

Opening up the food truck last year, and now you have so much going on. What are you looking forward to this year?

What I’m looking forward to in 2024 is to spend more time with family, something I couldn’t do when I had the restaurant (Kajun King).
