The Kids and Clays Foundation is partnering with Ronald McDonald House Charities for their second annual Kids and Clays Open March 1 at 4619 Rip Van Winkle Road starting at 8 a.m.
The sporting clays event is aimed at benefiting sick children and their families. It costs $1,200 for a team of 4 to sign up, $325 for single shooters, and $50 for non-shooters.
The event will include several resources and additional activities for participating teams, including 72 sporting clay targets, 12 and 20-gauge ammunition, gifts for shooters, lunch, ear and eye protection, golf carts for teams of 4, loaner shotguns and a silent auction.
The silent auction will include a variety of items such as firearms and hunting experiences.
There is also a pre-event patron party Feb. 29 at 8:30 p.m. on Avery Island. Any sponsor that pays $3,000 or more receives registration for at least one full team and access to the patron event. The larger donations receive more team registrations, with 4 teams at $15,000.
