Honoring a Literary Icon

The sculpture of famous author and New Iberia native James Lee Burke was unveiled in Bouligny Plaza in New Iberia on Saturday, April 6, 2024. A large gathering of fans and community members attending the Books Along The Teche Literary Festival witnessed the unveiling. Among those in attendance was sculptor Shirley Scarpetta.
