Acadiana Christian girls named state champs, boys take 3rd at ACEL meet

The ACS Track & Field teams performed well at the ACEL state meet on Saturday. 

The Acadiana Christian School track and field teams had an excellent showing at the Association of Christian Educators of Louisiana track and field state meet at Alexandria Senior High School on Saturday.

The ACS girls team were named state champions behind several top performances. Kacey Moore took home the gold in the triple jump, 200-meters and 300-meter hurdles, earning the Female Most Valuable Performer award.

Neal Osburn also continued his multi-event dominance, placing first in the 100-meter dash and the 200-meters and second in the 300-meter hurdles. Osburn was named Male Most Valuable Performer.

Isaiah Burch – 1st JV javelin, 1st JV 100M, 2nd JV 200M

Cason Breaux – 1st triple jump, 1st 110H, 3rd 300H

Neal Osburn – Male MVP, 1st 100M, 1st 200M, 2nd 300H

Brayden Pifer 3rd 800M

Caylee Walker – 1st JV shotput

Peyton Couvillier – 2nd 800M

Tylar Moore – 2nd JV long jump, 1st 100H

Avery Tabb – 2nd 300H, 3rd 1600M

Kacey Moore – Female MVP, 3rd long jump, 1st triple jump, 1st 200M, 1st 300H
