The 81st Louisiana Sugar Cane Festival is around the corner, and there’s no better way to kick off festivities and show your support than to attend the 2024 Stars of Style Gala! This annual event, to be held July 20 in New Iberia, is the Festival’s main fundraiser for the year. Chairs Jeanne Escuriex-Cutrera and Ted Viator, along with their committee, have planned a special evening of food, fun, entertainment…and STARS!

Know What to Expect

The event will again be held at the Community Center of New Iberia City Park. The doors open at 6:00 p.m. for cocktails and heavy hors d’oeuvres, followed by the Stars of Style Gala program from 7:30 until 9:30, featuring emcees Louisiana Commissioner of Administration Taylor Barras and former Queen Sugar LXXIX Avery Hebert. Be sure to stick around after the program for music and dancing to the beats of the dynamic nine-person group GTO – dubbed the best party band in Louisiana! Beer and wine will be complimentary until after the program, then it will become a cash bar (cash bar for liquor will be available all night).

There are 22 stars in the spotlight this year, all vying for the coveted title of 2024 Top of the Crop. On the Stars of Style floats this year will be 12 women and 10 men, including one husband-and-wife duo, two boss-employee teams, and the first ever trio: a mother and her two sons!
