According to the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a report of multiple gunshots at approximately noon on June 12, 2024 in the 7700 block of East Admiral Doyle Dr.

Upon further investigation, deputies learned that 26-year-old Nicholas Leblanc fired gunshots, which hit one victim in the wrist. The victim was brought to an area hospital due to his injuries.

Nicholas Leblanc was arrested and booked into the Iberia Parish Jail on the following charges:

LA RS 14:27/30.1 Attempted Second-Degree Murder

LA RS 14:95.1 Possession of Firearm/Concealed by Convicted Felon
