Ditch ran unopposed for the seat, something that he said demonstrates how his office kept its campaign promises in his first term.
“My goals heading into my second term remain the same,” said Ditch in a prepared statement. “I am steadfastly committed to bringing cutting-edge technology, unmatched customer service, and unparalleled access to our office for the citizens of Iberia Parish that I am so blessed to represent.”
Father Donald Bernard of St. Edward’s Church opened the ceremony with prayer before Gov. Landry delivered the oath of office.
