The Acadiana Cane Cutters baseball team defeated the Lake Charles Gumbeaux Gators in a two-game series this week to advance to the Texas Collegiate League finals on Saturday.

The Cane Cutters rallied back late in their home game on Tuesday, defeating Lake Charles 8-6 before grabbing another win on the road on Wednesday, 2-0. 

The wins mean the ‘Cutters are officially Louisiana Division champs, but the team will face off against the Victoria Generals on Saturday to determine who will end the season with the TCL crown.
