A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted for Kenneth James Castille, 76, at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 19, 2024, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Father Keith Landry officiating. Entombment will follow at Beau Pre Cemetery with Military Honors.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Sunday, August 18, 2024, with a recitation of the Rosary to be held at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume at 8 a.m. until time of the service on Monday, August 19, 2024.
Kenneth James Castille, 76, of Locust Grove, Georgia passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. His smile was that of the Cheshire cat grin. He was born on August 9, 1948, in New Iberia to the late George and Amelia Castille. Ken graduated from New Iberia High School in 1966 and was a proud US Navy veteran. He was in the Boy Scouts, obtained the rank of Eagle Scout and became a Troop Leader. Ken attended Clayton State University obtaining his Associate’s degree along with several certificates in Electronic Technology. He was a Systems Security Analyst employed with AT&T for 42 years. He was a jack of all trades and enjoyed bowling, computers, cruising and sailing. He was a member of the Catholic Church and an avid bowler, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. Ken was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and had unlimited patience.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years Marilyn Castille; children Ronald (Shannon) Castille of Loris, South Carolina, Bryan (Cathy Dee) Castille of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Bradley (Gretchen) Castille of Oxford, Georgia, Robert (Tiffany) Castille of Duson, Lynnette (Richard) Boyanton of Kountze, Texas and Jason Castille of Locust Grove, Georgia; fourteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; eight siblings, Guy Castille, George (Cathy) Castille, Gary (Debbie) Castille, Kathyleen Romero, Wayne Castille (Julie), Linda Mayard, John Castille and Vincent (Nancy) Castille.
He was preceded in death by his parents George J. Castille Jr. and Amelia Thornton Castille; and his son Jimmy.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Ronald Castille, Bryan Castille, Bradley Castille, Robert Castille, Jason Castille and Logan Boyanton.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Emory Winship Cancer Institute.
