The Explorer Program is a unique career study program created by Boy Scouts of America for young men and women ages 14–20. It provides an opportunity to learn about a wide variety of careers and to network with professionals already in those fields.

Explorers have the chance to ride along with ambulances, shadow employees and learn skills like CPR and can even earn volunteer hours which help the community and look great on a resume.

Eli Anderson, president of Explorer Post 108, said at Wednesday’s Iberia Parish Council meeting that anyone curious about a future in emergency medicine to attend the event.

“The program focuses specifically on the medical field, and helps them decide if the medical field is the right career for them,” he said.

Anyone curious about a future in emergency medicine is invited to attend the event.
