SHADOWS’ LECTURE ON SCHOOLING IN THE ANTEBELLUM SOUTH

What: Dr. Sarah Hyde, author of Schooling in the Antebellum South, explores private and public education systems before the Civil War in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. The lecture begins at 11 a.m., with a book signing and light reception to follow.
