Jeanerette–A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for David G. Guillotte, age 66 on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic. Father Francis Damoah as Celebrant. Interment will follow at St. John the Evangelist Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
David G. Guillotte, who passed away on September 18, 2024, at the age of 66, was remembered fondly for his deep faith as a devoted Catholic, loving the Lord with unwavering dedication. His quiet and gentle demeanor, coupled with his kindness, left a lasting impression on all who knew him. Excelling academically, David was a standout student, consistently achieving top marks and earning admiration for his diligence. In his youth, he thrived in sports, finding enjoyment in representing his school teams. A staunch supporter of the LSU Tigers and the New Orleans Saints, David’s passion for sports extended to playing pool, where he shared many memorable moments with his wide circle of friends, who cherished him for his warmth and camaraderie.
David is survived by his sister Marion Dugas; nieces/nephews, Rene Dugas, Alvin J. Dugas III (Shelia); nieces and nephews, Trey Dugas (Brittney), Trever Dugas (Maddie), George, Stella Ann Dugas, Denise Shepard (Dale), Melaine Shepard, Kristin Shepard, Robbie Shepard, Jovona Martin (Paul), Joy Martin, Dexter Martin, Christopher Martin, Lynn Louviere (Laura), Mandy Louviere, Lanie Louviere, Misty Louviere, Ronnie Louviere, (Cindy), Magan Louviere, Jason Louviere, Levie Louviere, Rustin Louviere, and Mariah Louviere.
David was preceded in death by parents, Rene Sr., and Bernice Simoneaud Guillotte; siblings, Ann G. Rugg, Arlene G. Hebert, Rene Guillotte, Jr.; niece, Angelle L. Moore
Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Lynn Louviere, Ronnie Louviere, Rene Dugas, Alvin Dugas, Trey Dugas, and Trevor Dugas.
