New Iberia – Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Pellerin Funeral Home for Kevin LeBlanc, 70, who passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, September 25, 2024.
Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery in New Iberia.
Rev. Keith Landry will officiate.
Visitation will be at Pellerin Funeral Home from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm on Saturday.
A rosary, led by the Men’s Rosary Group, will be prayed at 11:00 on Saturday, followed by a eulogy.
A lifelong resident of New Iberia, Kevin David LeBlanc was born on February 23, 1954, to the late Lee and Yvonne Melancon Leblanc. He was a proud 1972 graduate of Catholic High School in New Iberia, where he laid the foundation for a life marked by dedication and perseverance.
With a career that spanned over four decades in the sector of the hospital industry, Kevin established himself as a reliable and respected accounting professional. His meticulous nature and unwavering work ethic were evident in everything he undertook, allowing him to navigate the complexities of his field with grace and competence. After many years of service, he enjoyed a well-deserved retirement, leaving behind not only colleagues but also family and friends who admired his integrity and kindness.
Kevin’s passion for life was palpable. An avid New Orleans Saints fan, he embraced the joy and camaraderie that came with being a season ticket holder. The thrill of the game brought him immense happiness, allowing him to bond with fellow fans and family alike. Fantasy football was not just a hobby for Kevin; it was a pursuit that blended his love for the sport with friendly competition among friends. His enthusiasm on game nights was contagious, creating an atmosphere full of laughter and shared excitement.
Kevin’s greatest joys were found in the love he held for his family and friends. For him, life revolved around the cherished moments spent with those he adored: family gatherings filled with laughter, game nights brimming with lively banter, and the simple pleasures of shared stories. He cultivated deep relationships and will be deeply missed.
Mr. LeBlanc is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Valery LeBlanc; step-daughter, Kali King (Trevor); daughters, Lacy LeBlanc Hebert (Jeramie), Shawn LeBlanc Pathammavong (Tim), and Taylor LeBlanc (Cade Danos); grandchildren, Hunter Fournet, Ella Hebert, Colin and Yuri Pathammavong, and Zachary and Erin Campbell; great-grandson, Karter Hastings; siblings, Thomas LeBlanc (Mary Carol), Richard “Dickie” LeBlanc (Sharon), Alton LeBlanc (Wendy), Dean LeBlanc; and Yvonne LeBlanc Derouen; sisters-in-law, Brenda Scott and Mary Dean LeBlanc; godchildren, Jed LeBlanc, Jeffery Derouen, Brooke LeBlanc, and Ashley LeBlanc; and his beloved fur baby, Latte.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Betty LeBlanc Boudreaux, Timothy LeBlanc, Wayne LeBlanc; and brothers-in-law, Timothy Derouen and Arvel Boudreaux.
Pallbearers will be Jeramie Hebert, Tim Pathammavong, Cade Danos, Hunter Fournet, Timothy James LeBlanc, Jr., and Jeffery Derouen.
Kevin’s legacy is one of compassion, loyalty, and an unwavering passion for the things that truly mattered—his beloved New Orleans Saints, the thrill of the game, and, above all, the bonds he formed throughout his life. Kevin may be gone, but his spirit will live on in the memories he created and the love he spread. May he rest in peace.
