Ores Paul Seaux, resident of Spring, Texas, passed away on August 11, 2024, after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s and Dementia.

Paul was born on October 1, 1941, to parents Eris and Alta Hollier Seaux in Forked Island, Louisiana.  He was a longtime resident of Sunset, Louisiana and spent a number of years in Kerrville, Texas before moving to Spring. After graduating from E. Broussard High School in 1959, Paul went to work for Amoco Production Company, which led him to his love for the oilfield.

Paul married Luci Potter Seaux in 1985.  They subsequently started OLS Consulting Services in Lafayette, Louisiana.  After years of drilling, completions and workovers, Paul saw a need for a sustainable road material that would give heavy oilfield equipment access to drill sites and invented just such a product.  Through his entrepreneurial spirit, he, Luci and his son Ken created The Loma Company for the development and manufacturing of the support surface in the form of plastic mats for temporary roadways.  The Loma Company was ultimately sold in 2005.

He and Luci shared a tremendous passion for animals, and enjoyed their homestead on Acasa Farms raising cattle and horses. Paul enjoyed time with family, socializing with friends, cooking Cajun food and he loved to laugh.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents Eris and Alta Hollier Seaux, his sister Joyce Sagrera and George Sagrera (husband) and his son Troy Anthony Seaux.  He is survived by his wife of 39 years Luci Potter Seaux, son Kenneth Seaux, Lisa Seaux (wife), daughter Monique Thibodeaux, Max Thibodeaux (husband), daughter Jeanne Pierce, Chad Pierce (husband), sister Elena Kern, Wes Kern (husband), sister Linda Sue Seaux, nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many close friends.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Westgate Senior Homes for the exceptional care Paul received from Candace Peck.  Gratitude is also due for the uncompromising care and compassion Paul received from his beloved caretaker Gwen Matthews.  The family also thanks Three Oaks Hospice for their excellent care and guidance during this difficult journey for Paul and his family.

A celebration of life will take place at a currently unspecified time for close family and friends.  Interment will be at St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery in Cow Island, Louisiana, with his first-born son Troy.
