Anderson Frank, Episcopal of Acadiana Cross Country
ESA’s Anderson Frank also set a new school record at the Pete Boudreaux Invitational with a time of 15:19:54. Frank finished in 5th place at last year’s state meet with a time of 16:18.4 and will be looking to secure a podium place in his senior season.

Raymond Jack, Jeanerette Football
The Jeanerette Tigers remained undefeated with a 52-6 win over Centerville last week. Junior DE Raymond Jack racked up an impressive stat line against the Bulldogs, including 10 solo tackles, 5 tackle assists, 1 pass deflection and 1 fumble recovery.

Peyton Landry, NISH Football
Westgate transfer Peyton Landry improved on his poor performance in Week 5 to help the NISH Yellow Jackets almost secure a comeback against Sulphur on Friday. Landry, who went 9-17 for 91 yards through the air, scored the final touchdown of the game with a 1-yard QB keeper.

Shadon Lee, Westgate Football
Freshman Shadon Lee’s crucial pick-6 in the first quarter of Westgate’s game against St. Martinville helped build the momentum to secure a 22-6 win and move to 3-2 on the season. Lee, like many underclassmen, have been relied upon to make big plays when it matters most as the Tigers battle an injury crisis that has sidelined several senior starters.

Owen Morris, Catholic High Football
Junior RB Owen Morris scored two touchdowns and ended the night with 111 yards from 13 carries when Catholic High kicked off the District 7-2A schedule on the road against Franklin. The win moved the Panthers to 5-1 on the season, with few teams looking capable of stopping the dynamic CHS offense in district play.

Maddox Savoy, Loreauville Football
Loreauville finally picked up its first win of the season, defeating Delcambre (3-3) 58-0. Senior RB Maddox Savoy, a bulldozer in the Tigers backfield, scored twice and picked up 67 yards from 9 carries against the Panthers.

Female Athlete of the Week

Rhema Allen, Westgate Volleyball
The Lady Tigers had a busy week, playing six games against some of the toughest teams in the state. Allen didn’t seem to mind the pressure, recording 18 kills, 8 aces, 11 assists across six games.

Ella Blake, Highland Baptist Cross Country
Sophomore Ella Blake set a new personal season record at the Pete Boudreaux Invitational with a time of 19:52. Blake, along with teammates Madalynn Salsman, Amelia Perello, Chloe Delahoussaye and Lillian Nicholson, set a new school record for fastest top-5 average time (20:55).

Addison Delcambre, Catholic High Volleyball
Senior libero Addison Delcambre continued to impress last season, recording 3 aces, 7 digs and 2 assists in Catholic High’s win over Delcambre and 12 digs and 2 assists in a 3-1 loss to last year’s Division III quarterfinalists Vandebilt Catholic to move the Lady Panthers to 15-5 on the season.

Yvette Olivier, Acadiana Christian Volleyball
Olivier’s 26 assists and 3 digs helped the Lady Lions secure a straight-set victory against First Baptist in the final game of the ACEL regular season. The win kept ACS perfect throughout the season with a 13-0 record and earned a first-round bye in the ACEL volleyball playoffs.
