NEW IBERIA HALLOWEEN PARADE
When: Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Main Street
What: Join the City of New Iberia in front of city hall where they will color the fountain black before parading down Main Street for Halloween. Parade will begin at Prairie St. and end at Railroad St. After the parade, be sure to head to Bouligny Plaza for a trunk-or-treat with the kids!
TERROR ON THE TECHE
When: Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024, 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Where: Iberia Parish Library Main Branch, 445 E. Main St.
What: This year’s storyteller, MaMa Saba, will tell family-friendly Halloween tales perfect for all ages! There will be games for children to participate in before MaMa Saba’s performance. Children and families are encouraged to come dressed in not-so-scary costumes. Candy treat bags will be provided for the children while supplies last.
DAILY IBERIAN GAME OF THE WEEK
CATHOLIC HIGH AT LOREAUVILLE
When: Friday, Oct. 25, 2024, 7 p.m.
Where: Loreauville High School, 410 N. Main St., Loreauville
What: The Panthers are flying high, having won six straight after a Week 1 loss to Vermilion Catholic. Loreauville comes into the matchup as the on-paper underdog, despite picking up 58-0 and 57-3 wins in Weeks 6 and 7. Who will emerge victorious on Friday?
