Baton Rouge, LA – The Friends of Capitol Park Museum announced the appointment of Griffin Landry, a New Iberia native, as the new President of the organization, according to a prepared statement.
The appointment is effective November 1, 2024.
According to the Friends of Capitol Park Museum, “Griffin’s leadership will guide the Friends in their mission to support the Capitol Park Museum, one of Louisiana’s premier cultural institutions, in preserving and promoting the state’s rich history.”
Landry, a 2024 Daily Iberian 20 Under 40 Honoree, previously served as Vice President of Administration for the Friends organization.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to lead this organization and support the Capitol Park Museum in sharing Louisiana’s diverse history with people from all walks of life,” said Landry. “As a native of New Iberia, I have a deep appreciation for our state’s unique culture, and I look forward to working with our community partners to broaden access and engagement with the museum.”
Under Landry’s administration, the Friends plan to focus on increasing membership, growing community partnerships, and introducing new educational and cultural programs that make Louisiana’s history more accessible to underserved populations. The organization will also continue its tradition of hosting new events, as well as signature events, such as the upcoming 11th Annual Spanish Town Parade Party in March 2025.
Griffin Landry is also the owner of Imperial Advising, LLC, a consulting firm for small businesses and nonprofits throughout Louisiana. He is involved in various civic organizations, including being recently named to the Baton Rouge Alliance for Students’ CHANGEMAKERS Class 7 and an American Cancer Society’s 2024 Men Wear Pink Ambassador.
