Loretta D. Romero, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away after a life full of love, laughter, and joy. She dedicated over 20 years of her life as a paraprofessional for the Iberia Parish School System, where she touched the lives of many students. Outside of work, Loretta was a vibrant spirit, always the life of the party. Whether it was dancing, coaching her children’s sports teams, or spending hours in her vegetable and flower gardens, she lived life with energy and enthusiasm. She was an avid bowler for 20 years, a passion that brought her much happiness, and her love for the beach and travel was a defining part of her personality—she was known to say, “she just didn’t like being home.”

Loretta was deeply devoted to her family, cherishing every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild. Her love for them was matched only by her affection for her little dog, Cajun, who held a special place in her heart. A lover of adventure, she found joy in every journey, whether on a cruise or exploring new places. Loretta’s zest for life, combined with her caring nature and her ability to make others smile, will be remembered by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and an unwavering love for her family.
