NIPD requesting public assistance in locating murder suspect

The New Iberia Police Department and the United States Marshals Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Derrick Mouton, a 30-year-old Jeanerette man wanted for second degree murder and other felony charges.
The charges against Mouton stem from a shooting on Field Street that took place on July 26, 2024 and claimed the life of 29-year-old Jakari Gregoire.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Derrick Mouton can call Iberia Parish CrimeStoppers at 337-364-8477 or the USMS tip line at 877-926-8332.
