Student-athletes from around the Teche Area hit new highs in the 2024 cross country season.

Several local runners earned a spot at the 2024 state meet, with a handful earning Top 10 finishes. Highland Baptist Christian School junior Tyler Blissett earned his third consecutive state title with a time of 15:50.11.

The Episcopal School of Acadiana boys team finished as the Division IV Runners-Up behind senior Anderson Frank’s second place finish, while the Highland Baptist Christian School girls team, the defending Division V state champs, finished in third place overall.
