Holiday season was in full effect at the New Iberia Christmas Parade Saturday, with hundreds of people, dozens of floats and a litany of dance schools and other participants rolling through downtown New Iberia to celebrate the Christmas season. 

Put on by Bayou Traditions, the event is the last New Iberia parade of the year and includes a large number of community leaders and businesses taking part to celebrate the holiday in style. 

Downtown New Iberia itself was decorated with Christmas decorations on lightposts and historic buildings to ring in the Christmas season, and children especially enjoyed the festive atmosphere of Main Street as participants took the route on Main Street starting at Lee Street and ending at Jefferson Street.
