THE PLANETS TONIGHT

When: Friday, Jan. 17, 2025, 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Where: Iberia Parish Library Loreauville Branch, 612 Ed Broussard Road, Loreauville

What: The night of January 17 a “Planet Parade” will occur. This is when the planets align and most can be visible without the aid of a telescope. Astronomer Dave Hostetter will give a presentation about the planets and planet parades. Then, weather permitting, there will be a telescope viewing to see some of these amazing celestial objects!

SUPER SATURDAY DOWNTOWN SHOPPING

When: Saturday, Jan. 18, 2025, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Where: Main Street

What: Spend the day in downtown New Iberia shopping and having fun on Main Street. Stroll the downtown shops for deals and browse through local vendors and artisans for crafts, specialty items, and other handmade creations. Local vendors will be set up along the sidewalks on Main Street.

GULF STATES WRESTLING NEW YEAR’S BASH

When: Saturday, Jan. 18, 2025, 6 p.m.

Where: Cyr Gates Community Center, 300 Parkview Drive

What: Family-friendly event. Enjoy a night of action and wrestling fun. Children are invited to meet wrestlers for pictures and autographs at intermission.
