Baldwin–A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Patricia “Patsy” Savoy, age 81, on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Baldwin, LA. with Fr. Michael DeBlanc as Celebrant. Entombment will follow at Sacred Heart of Jesus Mausoleum.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. A Rosary will be prayed in the church prior to Celebration of the Holy Mass at 10:30 a.m.
Patricia “Patsy” Savoy, beloved matriarch and devoted wife of 61 years to Effron Savoy, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family on January 19, 2025. Patsy dedicated her life to nurturing her family, raising two children whom she cherished deeply, and doting on her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with boundless affection. She was a pillar of strength and unwavering support to her husband, Effron, throughout his successful career as an insurance agent and his passion for music.
In addition to her roles as wife and mother, Patsy co-founded J and P Catering, a venture that brought joy to many through their culinary delights. Her quiet moments were spent in the company of loved ones, indulging her passion for cooking, and finding solace in the tranquility of Bayou Teche from her back porch swing. Patsy’s zest for life was evident in her love for dancing, frequent trips to the casino, and her warm hospitality that touched the lives of all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and cherished memories that will forever live in the hearts of her family and friends.
Patricia “Pasty” Savoy is survived by her husband Effron Savoy; her children, Bart James Savoy (Heather), Tessa Champagne (Ron); grandchildren, Micah James Savoy, Hannah N. Frazier (Zac), Austin Champagne (Austin Morgan), Alise C. Dugas (Dylan), Gabrielle Doiron (Kylan), Beau Savoy; great-grandchildren, Ava Grace Dugas, Brooks A. Doiron, Navy Renee’ Doiron, Rosalie Morgan, and Emmi Dugas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Homer and Marie Louise Barrilleaux Hebert; siblings, Dolores Hebert Rogers, Loretta Hebert Hebert; parental grandparents, Rudolph and Elina T, Hebert; maternal grandparents, Alphonse and Cordellia B. Barrilleaux
Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Bart Savoy, Austin Champagne, Ron Champagne, Micah Savoy, Greg Sistrunk, and Stacey Hebert.
Honorary Pallbearers are Justin Chauvin, Lynn Chauvin, Landen Chauvin, Brady Hebert, Greg Hebert, and Matthew Arnold.
