New Iberia–A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Lois C. Domingue, age 90 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Lydia with Fr. Randy Courville as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 17, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. 1:30 p.m. A Rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Monday, February 17, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
Lois was a woman of deep faith and dedication, praying the rosary daily and finding solace in her Catholic beliefs. Her love for her children and grandchildren was evident in everything she did, cherishing moments with them dearly. Actively involved in the Ladies’ Auxiliary of the VFW, Lois contributed her time and efforts to serving others.
In her leisure, Lois found joy in crafting, particularly crocheting gifts for loved ones. She also enjoyed the simple pleasures of playing solitaire, attending bingo games, and solving word search puzzles. However, her true passion was dancing, where her lively spirit shone brightest. Known for her kind-hearted nature and ability to see the best in everyone she met, Lois leaves behind a legacy of warmth and compassion. She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.
Lois is survived by children, Babara Hebert (Roger) of Jeanerette, Lawrence Domingue, Jr. of Jeanerette; grandchildren, Stacie Amy, Heather Rogers, Terry” TJ” Bonin, Jr., Lawrence Domingue, III., Tanya McGowan, Justin Hebert, Jordan Hebert, Brandon Domingue, Kyle Domingue, many great, great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, and nephews
She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence A. Domingue, Sr.; children, Diana Romero, (Twin children) Keith Domingue, Kathleen Domingue; parents, Theo, and Lorena Breaux Cole; siblings, Wilray Frederick, Randolph Cole and Roland Cole.
Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Lawrence Domingue, III., Justin Hebert, Jordan Hebert, TJ Bonin, Quincy Rogers, and Trevor Amy.
The family would like to thank Calcutta House, and Hospice of Acadiana staff for the kindness and support they shared.
