GRAND MARAIS MARDI GRAS PARADE
When: Sunday, March 2, 2025, 1 p.m.
Where: Grand Marais Park, 7304 Hwy. 90 E, Jeanerette
What: Family-friendly Mardi Gras parade with floats, bands, dance groups, Mardi Gras royalty, elaborate and colorful costumes. Catch tons of beads and throws. Most original and ugly costumes.
REWRITE LOUISIANA TOWN HALL WITH REP. BEAU BEAULLIEU
When: Thursday, Feb. 27, 2025, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Where: Cane River Pecan Company, 254 W. Main St.
What: Informative town hall event featuring State Representative Beau Beaullieu providing an in-depth discussion on Constitutional Amendment 2, appearing on the March 29 ballot. Gain a deeper understanding of the amendment, ask questions, and engage in meaningful dialogue about its potential impact on Louisiana’s future. Rep. Beaullieu will present key details regarding the amendment and address questions from attendees. RSVP is required.
LAKE FAUSSE POINTE MARDI GRAS PARADE
When: Saturday, March 1, 2025, 2 p.m.
Where: Lake Fausse Pointe State Park, 5400 Levee Road, St. Martinville
What: A Mardi Gras parade rolls down Levee Road in the park offering a fun time for all. Our Dutch oven cookers will be at pavilion 2 starting at 10 a.m. serving up some good food. Plan your arrival for about 20 minutes before the parade as the gate will be closed to stop vehicle traffic. After the parade there will be a Mass under pavilion 1 for those who would like to join.
