Judy Ann Dooley

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Judy Ann Dooley, age 85, who passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Iberia Medical Center. Born on February 12, 1940, in Iberia Parish to the late Dewey and Elvonia Lancon Dooley. Judy was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and cherished member of her community.
Judy was a devoted member of Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church, where she found joy and solace in her role as a member of the church choir. She was a woman of faith, always bringing her love for music and her devotion to God into her daily life.
An avid lover of the outdoors, Judy was known for her passion for gardening. She took great pride in her flowers and vegetable garden, where she spent countless hours tending to her plants, nurturing them with the same care and devotion she showed to her family and friends.
Above all, Judy found her greatest joy in the time spent with her children and grandchildren. Her love for her family was immeasurable, and she treasured every moment she shared with them.
Judy leaves behind a legacy of kindness, love, and a deep connection to her faith and community. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Kay Robert and husband Neil; Lisa Hoffpauir and husband Julian and Staci Osborne and husband Chris; two grandchildren, Shea Lopez and McKenzi Lopez; one great grandchild, Henri Lopez and one sister, Ethel Dooley Fults.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by one brother, Stanley Dooley and two sisters, Rita Lafont and Shirley Landry.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church at 11:00 am on Friday, March 7, 2025, with Msgr. J. Robert Romero officiating.
Judy will be laid to rest privately at a later date.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 10:00 am until time of Mass. A rosary will be prayed at 10:30 am.
