Why is the Teche Area important to you?

Being born and raised in the Teche Area, I am very proud to be a resident. Our town has grown so much since I was a child and I’m so glad I get to share all the new things the town has to offer with my children.

What do you do for fun?

For fun, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and traveling the state representing El Festival Espanol De Nueva Iberia as Ms. Spanish Festival Queen VIII.

What are your hobbies?

My hobbies are painting, crocheting, learning new art crafts, and writing and illustrating children’s books.

Who are your role models?

My role models are my Granny Cheryl, my moma, and my husband.  If it were not for their kindness, devoting, hardworking, and patient ways, I would not be the person I am today.

What are some of your plans or goals?

My future plans are to become a History or Art teacher once I complete by Bachelors Degree and to continue to write and illustrate children’s books about our city’s events and way of life.

Is there anything else you would like to say?

I feel very blessed to be given this opportunity.
