Why is the Teche Area important to you?

      The Teche Area is important to me because this is where I grew up and this is a place I love. I want to leave it better than I found it. 

What do you do for fun?

      Well, I coach two high school sports, so I’m either at practice or a game from October-May. If I’m not coaching sports, I’m filming and editing a sports video for Catholic High Athletics. I partnered with our development team to highlight our athletics here at CHS and have been creating what we call “hype videos” for the past 2 years. The videos are featured on the Instagram page @geaux.films 

Who are your role models?

      My godmother, Jenny Gonsoulin. She always goes above and beyond for her family and students. Here’s an example of what I mean when I say “she always goes above and beyond”- She is a teacher at Westgate. She had never played volleyball growing up, but when Westgate couldn’t find a coach, she decided she would do it. She learned everything she could about volleyball so that those girls could have a team. Her students are lucky to have her and I am beyond grateful to have her to look up to.
