Why is the Teche Area important to you?
The Teche Area is important to me because it is where I was born and raised. I strive to give my students that I teach the same memories that I received when I was in high school. I also strive to give my athletes core memories that they will remember for a lifetime!
What do you do for fun?
I love hanging out with my family! My husband Blayze Romero and I are high school sweethearts! We have 3 kids- Riggins, Cimee and Sawyer! They are our life. We are always running around with baseball, cheerleading and dancing!
What are your hobbies?
My hobby is coaching cheerleading at New Iberia Senior High School. I have been the cheer coach for 10 years, and love creating memories for the girls that last a lifetime! The girls that I coach are all like my daughters!
Who are your role models?
My role model would have to be my mom- I am the person I am today because of her. She has taught me how to be kind, and loving. She has been my biggest cheerleader during my toughest times and I could not ask for a better mom!
What are some of your plans or goals?
My plans as far as my family is to be the best mom that I can be and give my children all of the opportunities that I can! In teaching, I strive to be the best teacher that I can to create a positive working environment for all of my students! In coaching, my goal is to continue bringing NISH cheer to UCA nationals and continue to strive for greatness and one day win a National Championship!
Is there anything else you would like to say?
I am who I am today because of everything that I have been through. Through all of the tough times, I have come out stronger than I could ever imagine! My family has always been there for me and I am forever grateful! I want to thank my mom and dad for all that they have done for me and for always being there for me! I also have two younger brothers that have always been my biggest cheerleaders- Gage and Carson!
