First Lady of Louisiana Sharon Landry arrived in New Iberia this week to gift a donation to The Unexpected Pregnancy Center.

The donation, which will help the center in its current and future goals, was gifted at an event held Monday. It was made through Landry’s foundation, One Love Louisiana.

“My foundation, Love One Louisiana, is honored to provide support for The Unexpected Pregnancy Center,” Landry said in a prepared statement. “It is a privilege to stand with a community-based organization that walks alongside women and families with care, dignity, and compassion.”

Executive director of The Unexpected Pregnancy Center Jennifer Boutte called the donation a blessing, and said it would help the center’s mission of honoring life and preserving families.

“The Unexpected Pregnancy Center is incredibly grateful for the generosity of Love One Louisiana,” Boutte said. “Their commitment is a blessing that honors the lives of the most vulnerable. Their support encourages us and serves as a powerful reminder of our united community. As we move forward in our mission to honor life and preserve families, we pledge to remain unwavering in our efforts. We thank them for standing with us as we deliver services that create lasting, meaningful changes in the lives of those we serve.”
