ART OF IOD STAMPING

When: Friday, July 11, 2025, 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Where: Bird on the Bayou, 120 East Main St.

What: An evening class on the art of IOD Stamping. This educational class will introduce the complete range of IOD products including stamps, moulds, transfers, and many more. You’ll leave with one of these cuties or one you design. There are many different stamping options. Please register beforehand as spaces are limited.

ACADIANA BARREL RACING

When: Saturday, July 12, 2025, 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Where: Sugarena At Acadiana Fairgrounds, 853 Bypass Hwy.

What: This event offers family-friendly competition for equine enthusiasts. Barrel racing is an exciting rodeo event where horse and rider complete a cloverleaf pattern around three barrels for the fastest time. This event will feature exhibition barrels, exhibition poles, open poles, and open 5D barrels.

IPAL PRESENTS: MATILDA

When: Sunday, July 13, 2025, 2 p.m.

Where: Essanee Theater, 126 Iberia St.

What: The Iberia Performing Arts League (IPAL) presents Matilda, its summer youth musical. Based on Roald Dahl’s book, this classic tells of Matilda, a child unloved by her parents, who discovers psychokinetic powers. The musical follows her journey to school, featuring Miss Honey and Miss Trunchbull. Don’t miss this movie-to-stage adaptation, performed by talented local youth ages 10-18.
