Teche Area early voting has been underway since Friday, with residents of Iberia, St. Martin and St. Mary parishes turning out for the few ballot items for the Nov. 18 election.

By Monday night, there were a total of 755 early votes cast early in Iberia Parish.

There were 192 in-person votes and 24 votes by mail Friday and 154 in-person votes and 10 mail votes Saturday. Monday, there were 271 in-person votes and 104 mail votes.

St. Mary Parish had a cumulative total of 364 votes by Monday. There were 154 votes Friday, 95 votes Saturday and 115 votes Monday.

In St. Martin Parish there were 154 in-person votes Saturday and six votes by mail. Saturday had 77 in-person votes and 55 mail votes. Monday there were 118 in-person votes and 104 mail votes.

There was a total of 514 votes by Monday.
