William Harold Zea

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 20, 2017, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for William Harold Zea, 85, who passed away on Friday, November 17, 2017.

A gathering of family and friends will be at Pellerin Funeral Home from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday, and continue on Monday from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.

Rev. Weldon Moak and Rev. Tracy King will officiate.

As per William’s wishes, he will be then be cremated.

William Harold Zea was born in Lawton, Oklahoma on September 12, 1932, to the late William Glenn Zea and Thelma Virginia Duryea Zea. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and retired from PHI Helicopters as the Director of Maintenance after 34 years of service. A loving husband, father and grandfather, Mr. Zea enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed.

William is survived by daughter Brenda Zea of Pickens, South Carolina; sons William Joseph Zea and wife, Carol, of Puckett, Mississippi and Michael Glenn Zea and wife, Melissa, of Broussard; step daughters Danita Broussard and husband, Joey, of New Iberia and Deanna Pierce and husband, Asa Dotzler, of LaHonda, California; stepson Chris Pierce and wife, Ann, of Jennings; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wives Barbara Jo Zea and Adria B. Zea; and a brother Donald Max Zea.
