THIBODAUX — Judy Becnel DeGravelle, 76, a native of Franklin, a former resident of Covington and longtime resident of Thibodaux, passed away on Friday, Jan. 26, 2018.

A visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 28, at Thibodaux Funeral Home with the Rosary at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume on Monday, Jan. 29, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church in Thibodaux, with a Mass at 11 a.m. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery.

Judy is survived by her husband of 52 years, Cam DeGravelle; their children Debbie (Gary) Pickell, Brian DeGravelle, Eric (Alyce) DeGravelle, Craig (Crissy) DeGravelle and Cindy (Scott) Dwyer. Also her grandchildren Josh and Claudia Pickell; Grant, Olivia and Sarah DeGravelle; Caroline, Laura and Camille DeGravelle; Sean, Colin and Morgan Dwyer. 

Judy was preceded in death by her parents John and Lucille Lyons Becnel of Franklin along with her baby sister Debbie and her Brother Mike Becnel. 

She was a devoted wife and mother and a real special Momsy (Grandmother) to her 11 grandchildren.

Judy was an active member of St. John Catholic Church for 43 years. 

She was a 1959 graduate of St. John High Academy in Franklin and a telephone operator for South Central Bell of Franklin in the 1960s.

The family would like to thank those doctors who gave her such good and loving care and also the nurses and staff of Thibodaux Regional Medical Center for their attention and loving care which she received as she struggled with her lung cancer.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Genevieve Catholic School and Edward Douglas White Catholic High School.
