Kenneth Paul Fontenette

A Home-going celebration will be held for Kenneth Paul Fontenette, 55, at noon on Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Fletcher Funeral Home with Minister James Broussard officiating. 

He will await the resurrection in St. Edward Roman Catholic Church Cemetery. 

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 7 a.m. until time of service with a Rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m. 

He is a member of St. Edward Roman Catholic Church. 

Kenneth leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter Kendra Welcome of Breaux Bridge; his mother, Lydia B. Fontenette of New Iberia; two brothers Keith Fontenette (Paulette) of St. Martinville and Russell Fontenette Jr. (Lucy) of New Iberia; two sisters Lois F. Jones (Kenwood Sr.) and Angela F. Landor (Cornelius) of New Iberia; one grandchild Kennedy Welcome of Breaux Bridge; his special friend Bertha Delahoussaye and her children; two godchildren Kailyn Jones and Chelsey Evans; and nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 

He is preceded in death by his father, Russell Fontenette Sr.; maternal grandparents, John E. and Bessie Broussard; paternal grandparents, Broussard Fontenette and Mattie Johnson; two nephews Charles Fontenette and Kendrick Jones; and his godfather Eugene Lavine Jr. 

Active pallbearers will be Cornelius Landor, Kenwood Jones Jr., Justin Spencer, Harrison Welcome, Corey Finley and Nelson Senegal. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Keith Fontenette Sr., Russell Fontenette Jr., Kenwood Jones Sr., Demarcus Fontenette, Joseph I. Broussard, Joseph Jeanlouis, Calvin Johnson, Dwayne Welcome and Craig Jones. 

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Fletcher Funeral Home, 609 West Admiral Doyle Drive, New Iberia, LA 70560.
