Willard Roy Bondurant Jr., “Dooner,” 72, of Hattiesburg, Mississippi passed away on January 12, 2018. 

Visitation will be at th family’s home, 207 Kensington Drive, Hattiesburg, MS 39402, on Saturday, January 20, 2018, from noon until.

Roy was born in Frankfort, Kentucky on November 24, 1945. He graduated from Franklin County High School and continued on graduating from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Science degree where he was also a four-year letterman, football star. Roy played professional football with the St. Louis Cardinals and later worked as an executive in the textile industries for most of his career.

Roy was married to Marilyn Ellis Bondurant for 53 years. 

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Bondurant; his children Troy Bondurant, Tammy Ashley and Todd Bondurant. He is also survived by his sisters Janet Slay and Wanda Flener; his five grandchildren Adriel Bondurant-Robinson, Eden Robinson, Phoebe Robinson, Stella Bondurant and Max Bondurant; and many nieces and nephews.

Roy was loved by his friends, family and the many other lives that he touched. He will be greatly missed.
