Funeral services will be conducted for Camellia Sue Robicheaux Badeaux, 81, at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 9, 2018, in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Gregory Chauvin officiating. Burial will follow in Beau Pre Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Thursday, February 8, 2018, from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. and resume on Friday, February 9, 2018, at 8 a.m. until 10 a.m.
A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Badeaux passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at 5:07 a.m. in a New Iberia nursing facility.
Her and her husband owned J’s Foodmart in New Iberia and she retired as the cafeteria manager at Dodson Elementary School. She will always be remembered for her hot tamales. Her hobbies were cooking and her grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, Wayne J. Badeaux and his wife, Darlene, and Guy A. Badeaux and his wife, Maria; her daughter Jackie B. Freyou and her husband, Dean, all of New Iberia; her grandchildren Waylon J. Badeaux, Brooke Badeaux, Brad M. Badeaux and his wife, Linden, Kristi L. Lassalle and her husband, Chris, Derek A. Freyou and his wife, Angelique and Brittany R. Hotard and her husband, Jeremy; her great-grandchildren Kaylin M. Badeaux, Ryan L. Andersen, Kristen Andersen, Nash Lassalle, Noah Lassalle, Bella Hotard, Ava Hotard and Vivian Freyou; her step-grandchildren Zachery LaCoste and his wife, Bethany, Noah LaCoste and his wife, Brittany, Joseph LaCoste, Nathan LaCoste and his wife, Keeley, and Daniel LaCoste; and 10 step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Meonce Antoine Badeaux Jr.; her parents, Rene and Eva Marceaux Robicheaux; her sisters Aline Robicheaux, Ruth Bouton and Ruby Babineaux; and her brothers Nephie Robicheaux and Asay Robicheaux.
Pallbearers will be Waylon Badeaux, Brad Badeaux, Derek Freyou, Chris Lassalle, Nash Lassalle and Ryan Andersen.
