Iberia Parish School Board members will put the spotlight on the parish’s top educators when they meet Wednesday. 

Among the agenda items is the recognition of this year’s Iberia Parish Teachers of the Year. Superintendent Dale Henderson will introduce and recognize this year’s honorees.

Also listed among items for discussion are open bids on several school projects as it relates to expenditures for the 2013 Bond Issue. 

Among the list of improvements to receive bids on are additions and renovations to North Street Elementary School. 

Renovations are open for bids at Coteau Elementary School and Jeanerette Elementary School, the Alternative School as well as Anderson Street Middle School.

Painting projects also are open for bids at Dodson Street Elementary School and Sugarland Elementary School.

The board also will consider a proposed revision for the 2017-2018 school year calendar to make up weather related closure days.

After the regularly scheduled meeting an executive session is planned to conduct the Superintendent’s system improvement plan informal review, which is a part of his annual evaluation.

The Iberia Parish School Board is scheduled to meet at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the administrative office at 1500 Jane St. in New Iberia.
